Eyesight Screening

Paso Robles Lions Club works with local school nurses to provide eyesight screening for young children. We have a mobile screening trailer that we bring annually to all North County Elementary Schools that choose to participate. This program is overseen by Dr. Doug Major who has been involved in the project for over 40 years.

We also collect used prescription eyeglasses, non-prescription sunglasses, readers and even broken glasses. The glasses are donated to the California Lions Friends in Sight who provides free vision screening and free recycled eyeglasses to those in need.

Volunteers are made up mainly of members of the Paso Robles Lions Club but we also welcome additional volunteers for set-up.
