The Lions Club prepare the beans for the traditional Pioneer Day Bean Feed. We begin stirring at 6 AM. The Beans are cooked in large cast iron pots and stirred with wooden paddles. They are ready to be served, free to the public, at the end of the Pioneer Day Parade. This is a tradition that dates back to the 1930s.
