Our Early History
The Paso Robles Lions Club was established on September 6, 1939, with 35 charter members. Early projects included the 1940 painting and erecting of street signage for the City of Paso Robles, tree planting, horseshoe pits, barbecue pits and building of The Veterans Memorial Drinking Fountain in The Downtown Park. The Lions Club erected the War Memorial Flag Pole at the south end of War Memorial Stadium and built the baseball field known as Lion's Field. More recent projects include installing the bricks in the downtown core and installation of bicycle racks and benches for the Downtown Paso Robles Main Street program. |
